DUSTIN DREWES

I’m Dustin Drewes and I’ve always loved every aspect of racing! I have a well-rounded education in sports medicine and physical therapy. I hold an M.S. in Exercise Physiology from LSU, specializing in Human Performance, and a B.S. in Fitness Studies from LSU. I’ve also spent time as an Exercise Science Lecturer at Southeastern Louisiana University. I’m currently continuing my education in pursuit of my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at LSU Health Sciences Center. My education allows me to help my athletes reach their full potential.

I’m a Category 1 cyclist. I started racing bikes as a junior in 2008, for the New Orleans Bicycle Club cycling team, and I fell in love. I revitalized the LSU Cycling Team in 2009, and have proudly represented  LSU in collegiate racing throughout my academic career. I have 14 years of racing experience in Road, Track, Cyclocross, and Gravel. I’ve also been successful in the sport of triathlon, having top finishes in both overall and age group categories of Sprint, Olympic, and 70.3 distances.

My coaching career started with an internship at 4th Dimension Fitness in 2011, where I apprenticed under Will Jones.  In addition to being a coach at 4D, I am also the Head Coach of the Tulane University Cycling Association.  I’ve worked with athletes of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. As a coach, I challenge myself to offer individualized, well-balanced programs to my athletes, who may have limited time or resources to dedicate to endurance sports. Give me a call, and we will work together to formulate a program meant just for you. I’ll help you achieve your fitness and cycling goals, whatever they may be, and I’ll do my personal best to keep you on the move and injury-free.
